I am professionally committed to inspiring hope and empowering change in my clients. As a therapist, I am passionate about promoting emotional and personal growth for each client as an individual. It is my goal to collaborate with you to restore balance in your life!
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and received my degree from the University of South Florida. I was a Certified Guidance Counselor for the state of Florida, grades K-12, and served over 18 years as a Guidance Counselor in both the public and private school sectors. I served as a member of the County Crisis Team, where I utilized crisis counseling techniques in dealing with trauma, sudden deaths and suicides. I am currently an active court appointed Guardian Ad Litem for the dependency court system for Pinellas County, with over six years of experience.
In the past 25 years, I’ve built experience in a variety of populations including children, adolescents, college students, women and men. In addition to individual therapy, I lead support groups throughout the year for woman going through separation/divorce. The Hope and Healing: Life after Separation/Divorce group provides women with a proper skill set to cope with the complex emotions associated with divorce, with the focus on rebuilding their lives after the loss of a relationship. I also offer my clients Therapy in Motion (walk & talk therapy) which is a different approach to traditional therapy. Clients experience a therapy session outside in nature while walking, which sets clients at ease and offers a unique setting.
I am a member of the Anxiety and Depression Association of American, Suncoast Mental Health Counselors Association and the American Psychological Association. I also participate in local charity boards and fundraisers.
Counseling is a chance for my clients to be able to learn more about themselves and view life transitions as an opportunity for growth and personal development . Allow me the opportunity to facilitate your journey!
